96 Winthrop St., Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA, (617) 491-2583. Opened in November 1992, the Harvard Square House of Blues was the first of the nation's six. Paying tribute to the Mississippi Delta region, the restaurant highlights Southern artwork and local and national blues performers. The upstairs eating area morphs into a premiere blues room late in the evening. The restaurant opens Mon. through Sat. at 11:30 a.m. and on Sun. at 4:30 p.m., and closes nightly at 11 p.m. The music hall is open Sun. through Wed. from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., and Thurs. through Sat. from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Cover $6 to $20.
